



SINGAPORE – Thousands of people in Singapore woke up to the phenomenon of a solar eclipse on Wednesday (Mar 9) morning.
In Singapore, the spectacle began at around 7.20am, and is expected to peak at 8.23am when 87 per cent of the sun will be obscured.

In Indonesia, the eclipse began at about 6.19am, when the moon began moving between the Earth and the sun, AFP reported.

A partial solar eclipse, with up to 90 per cent of the sun obscured by the moon, will be visible from the Republic from about 7.20am on Wednesday (Mar 9).
