Kim Kardashian has finally stepped out in public since her harrowing experience in Paris last Monday. She and Kanye were spotted leaving their leased New York apartment with her kids and their security team, including her personal bodyguard Pascal Duvier. Kim wore an oversized sweater, a baseball cap, skinny jeans, and sneakers as she clutched North close to her body. Kanye West followed in the same dressed down attire with Saint.

We can just imagine what Kim feels at the moment and to think that some people even thought it was a publicity stunt or whatever. Now let’s give this woman space and let her spend time with her family, she even took some time off work and cancelled her appointments for the week.

BRAZIL – Neymar scored one goal and set up two more as Brazil turned on the style with a 5-0 thrashing of Bolivia in South America’s 2018 World Cup qualifying competition on Thursday.
Barcelona superstar Neymar’s 49th international goal in his 73rd appearance took him one clear of Zico on Brazil’s all-time topscorer’s list.
Still only 24, Neymar should reach Pele’s all-time record of 77 goals from 91 games with something to spare if he continues to score at his present rate.
The Brazilian talisman was eventually substituted midway through the second half at the Estadio das Dunas in Natal, leaving the field to a loud ovation for his role in another impressive Brazilian win.
Brazil’s victory left them comfortably on course to secure their place at the 2018 finals in Russia. The Brazilians are now second in the standings with 18 points from nine games.
It was also a third consecutive victory from three games for new manager Tite, who was appointed after the sacking of Dunga in June.
A sparkling first half performance effectively secured the points for Brazil, with Neymar, Philippe Coutinho, Filipe Luis and Gabriel Jesus all finding the net to put the hosts 4-0 up at half-time.
Coutinho’s Liverpool team-mate Roberto Firmino made it 5-0 with a 75th-minute header.
Neymar fired Brazil into the lead on 10 minutes, working a wonderful one-two with Manchester City teenager Gabriel to slice open the Bolivian defence before tapping into an empty net.
Coutinho doubled the Brazilian lead on 25 minutes after another superb passing move, with Dani Alves and Giuliano combining down the right to set up the Liverpool playmaker for a close-range finish.
Neymar then set up Brazil’s third with a surging run that drew four Bolivian defenders before he threaded a pass through to Luis who drilled home his shot from just inside the penalty area.
Gabriel then put the seal on a mesmerising opening 45 minutes with Brazil’s fourth goal.
Once again, Neymar was the architect, bursting clear as Brazil broke out of defence swiftly before picking out Gabriel who lifted a delicate chip above the on-rushing Bolivia goalkeeper Carlos Lampe.

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan passed long-awaited legislation Thursday closing a loophole that allowed people who killed for “honour” to walk free, three months after the murder of a social media star by her brother sparked international revulsion.
The legislation, passed unanimously by the National Assembly, mandates life imprisonment even if the victim’s relatives forgive the murderer.
The assembly also passed a bill increasing the punishments for some rape offences, mandating DNA testing and making the rape of a minor or the disabled punishable by life imprisonment or death.
Women have long fought for their rights in Pakistan, and so-called “honour” killings claim the lives of hundreds each year.
Rape conviction rates are close to zero per cent, largely due to the law’s reliance on circumstantial evidence and a lack of forensic testing.
Rights groups and politicians have for years called for tougher laws to tackle perpetrators of violence against women in the country.
The gruesome murder of Facebook star Qandeel Baloch in July catapulted the issue into the international spotlight.
“This is a step in the right direction,” women’s activist and columnist Aisha Sarwari told AFP.
“We should take our little wins where we get them and proceed forward and not retreat.”
But rights activist Farzana Bari was more cautious, saying the bill still allowed a judge to decide whether a murder qualified as an “honour killing” or not.
Marvi Sirmed, feminist and rights activist, called the bill “very good news”, but echoed Bari’s concern, saying: “The challenge now is, how the honour crimes be defined.”
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif later issued a statement hailing the passage of the bill and vowed police and courts would implement it.
“We will make… sure to fully enforce this legislation across the country,” a statement issued by his office said.
“Women are the most essential part of our society and I believe in their empowerment, protection and emancipation.”
The perpetrators of honour killings – in which the victim, normally a woman, is killed by a relative on the pretext of defending family “honour” – often walk free because they can seek forgiveness for the crime from another family member.
A 2005 amendment to the law pertaining to honour killings prevented men who kill female relatives pardoning themselves as an “heir” of the victim.
But punishment was left to a judge’s discretion when other relatives of the victim forgive the killer – a loophole which critics say had been exploited.
The amendments passed Thursday and published on the National Assembly website mandate judges to sentence someone who kills in the name of “honour” to life imprisonment, even if they have been forgiven and thereby avoid the death penalty, said senior opposition lawmaker Farhatullah Babar.
“Even if the close family members pardon the murderer, the court is bound to send him to jail for 25 years,” Babar told AFP.
The amendments regarding rape, in addition to calling for DNA tests and toughening the punishment in some cases, also protect a victim’s identity and mandate that cases be brought to court within three months.
Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy won an Oscar earlier this year for a documentary on honour killings that was hailed by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who promised to push through the legislation in February.
But no action was taken, despite a slew of further high-profile killings.
The death of social media star Baloch, judged by many in the country as infamous for selfies and videos that by Western standards would appear tame, reignited polarising calls for action after her brother admitted killing her.
“I am not embarrassed at all over what I did,” he told media at a defiant press conference in July.
“Whatever was the case, it (his sister’s behaviour) was completely intolerable.” Obaid-Chinoy slammed Baloch’s murder as symptomatic of an “epidemic” of violence against women in Pakistan.
NEW YORK – Flanked by multiple security guards, Kim Kardashian and her family on Thursday left the Manhattan apartment where they have been closeted since she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, amid reports that the reality star was planning to take some time off.
News video and photos showed Kardashian, her face partly hidden by a hoodie and baseball cap, getting into a car with her two young children and rapper husband Kanye West.
It was the first time she had been seen since returning to New York after masked robbers held a gun to her head and stole some US$10 million (S$13 million) worth of jewelry in Paris early on Monday morning.
Kardashian’s personal bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, who was protecting Kardashian’s sisters at a nightclub at the time of the robbery, was among a handful of security staff keeping media at bay and helping stash suitcases into waiting cars.
The family were thought to be heading to their southern California home.
The celebrity family, whose lives are chronicled in the TV show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and on their busy social media accounts, has been uncharacteristically quiet since the robbery. No arrests have been made.
Celebrity website TMZ and magazine Us Weekly reported on Thursday that a badly shaken Kardashian was taking about a month’s break from work.
“She has cancelled everything for the next several weeks and will not be working,” Us Weekly quoted a source close to the star as saying.
TMZ, quoting an unidentified source close to Kardashian, said that when she does return she will cut down on her use of social media and displays of her wealthy lifestyle.
Kardashian’s representatives declined comment on the reports.
Kardashian, 35, has come in for criticism that she made herself vulnerable by posting photos of her US$4 million dollar engagement ring and other jewelry, in the days before the attack.
“If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room,”fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld told reporters in Paris this week.
“You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you.”
The Kardashian family was not filming for their reality show at the time of the robbery, a spokeswoman for the show said on Thursday.
“Our focus right now is entirely on Kim’s well-being,” the spokeswoman said in a statement.

DOHA – South Korean sharpshooter Son Heung-Min kept Qatar’s World Cup ambitions on hold and Japan also survived a scare as China suffered a potentially calamitous defeat to Syria on Thursday.
Iran, meanwhile stayed on course for a Russia 2018 spot after shifting Uzbekistan from the top of Group A on goal difference with a 1-0 victory in Tashkent.
Iran are also the only team in the group not to concede a goal in three matches so far, having beaten Qatar 2-0 and drawn goalless with China earlier.
But the torment continued for Qatar as they remained at the bottom after suffering their third straight defeat on Thursday.
The 2022 hosts were done in by Tottenham Hotspur’s Son who extended his electric club form with the winning goal in South Korea’s 3-2 triumph in Suwon.
