Where to party this weekend? Our Party Girl is here to give some insight. This weekend seems to be a mish-mash of events.

If you’re in Johor Bahru tonight, Austrian electronica musicians, HVOB, are performing at the Cache Lounge and Rooftop Bar from 9.30pm for the 13th JB Arts Festival.

It’s a 50 ringgit (S$17) entry with one drink.

If not, HVOB will also be performing at Sunshine Nation’s fourth anniversary on Friday.

Other DJs on decks are Sasha Bremer from Germany and Marc Antona from France.

Expect some super duper electro beats.

Entry is $85 at the door until they run out.

The venue is still a secret so check their Facebook page on Friday itself to see where to go.

Also on Friday, the new Montreux Jazz Cafe on Claymore Road is featuring Boddhi Satva, coined as the father of Ancestral Soul music.

That sort of translates to African music with deep, tribal and soulful house and electronic beats.

Entry is $15.

On Saturday, the party groups Sorry Not Sorry and Please Don’t Tell are having their final pool party for the year at So Sofitel from 2pm.

Expect cheap drink promotions, BBQ and pumping music from our fabulous local talent pool of DJs. Music will be a range of hip hop to funk and house.

Entry is $10.

Saturday night sees Soul Clap at the new Nova in Orchard Hotel where DJ Koflow will be on decks spinning those rhymes with Shigga Shay doing his thang on stage.

And, you can round off the weekend with Salsa Under The Stars on Sunday from 3pm at kult kafe on Emily Hill.

There will be a family-friendly salsa workshop and plenty of good vibes, food, drinks, and kids’ activities.

It’s part of their Sunday on the Hill which is a free-entry, kid- and dog-friendly event.

If you don’t know, now you know.
