PETALING JAYA – Chinese billionaire Jack Ma had a bone to pick with a number of internationally renowned fighters in the short film Gong Shou Dao (The Art of Attack and Defence).
The over 20-minute-long film features the Alibaba Group founder facing off in martial combat with the likes Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung Kam-bo, champion boxer Zou Shiming, Thai actor Tony Jaa and retired Mongolian sumo champion Asashoryu Akinori.
A trailer was initially revealed on Sunday (Nov 11) and the full movie was released a day later on Jet Li’s official Facebook and YouTube pages.
The video has since garnered over 752,000 views and has been shared more than 13,100 times on Facebook.
In the film, Ma uses tai chi, a Chinese martial art that he has practiced for decades, to take on the other big names across a variety of settings including a warehouse, an entertainment centre and among some ancient ruins.
“This is the story of my good friend Jack Ma as a Taiji Master,” said Jet Li, who was the executive producer for the film.
