SINGAPORE: A Tigerair flight from Hong Kong to Singapore was forced to turn back on Saturday (Nov 5) due to a cracked windscreen caused by a “bird strike” – a collision between a bird and an aircraft.

Tigerair flight TR2067 returned to Hong Kong for repairs after the incident, a spokesperson from the airline said.

The Airbus A320-232 departed Hong Kong at 7.28pm and was scheduled to arrive in Singapore at 10.45pm, according to flight tracking website FlightAware. It turned back shortly after take-off and landed in Hong Kong at 8.34pm.
