BANGKOK – The Thai junta’s rubber stamp parliament will hold a “special” meeting Thursday evening, its spokesman said Thursday, as anxiety over the health of the country’s beloved but ailing King Bhumibol Adulyadej has soared.
“I have been informed that the National Legislative Assembly will hold a special meeting at 9pm (1400 GMT) tonight,” Jeth Sirathranont, spokesman of the assembly told AFP, without elaborating on what prompted the unusual night time meeting.
