On October 18th, 39-year-old OG Singapore idol Taufik Batisah posted several photos of him and his wife Sheena Akbal in an empty apartment.
According to Taufik, he used all his savings to buy this mansion 12 years ago, when he was 27 years old.

“This is the first house I bought with all my savings 12 years ago. At that time, only my mother and I were in the house. Six years later, I married the love of my life. We spent the first six years of our marriage. Humble abode,” he continued to share in his caption.

Taufik is also a real estate agent. He went on to say that although it was not easy to give up his first home, he knew it was time.
“I need to practice what I preach to customers,” he wrote. “It is important to prepare for retirement as early as possible. When the numbers are right, you need to take action. When we begin our asset appreciation journey, we bid farewell to our house at 910 Jurong West St 91.”
According to past resale transactions on the HDB website, a luxury house in the block where Taufik once lived is about S$500,000 to S$600,000.
The scenery is not too shabby
Although Taufik did not share any details of his new home, he did let his followers guess which part of Singapore he would also move to.
Judging from his responses to some of the comments, Bukit Panjang or Singapore East seems to be the two front-runners.
Guess we just have to wait and see.
