Taiwanese star Shu Qi is taking a break from her acting career, Kwong Wah Yit Poh reported.

The 41-year-old actress has been active in the entertainment industry for the past 22 years.

There was speculation that she may be pregnant.

However, when contacted by Apple Daily, Shu Qi, who is married to Hong Kong filmmaker Stephen Fung, said she was taking a break because of health reasons as she has issues with skin sensitivity.
