A 19-year-old student from Kurla city in central Xinjiang, an autonomous territory in north-west China, paid a 35-year-old prostitute for sex in order to reduce his academic stress, Kwong Wah Yit Poh repor-ted.
The teenager, known as Xiaojun, who is sitting for the National College Entrance Examination, was nabbed by local police at 3am on Tuesday during an anti-vice raid.
An unnamed police officer said when they reached the scene, Xiaojun was seen to be nervously leaving the building.
“We stopped him and brought him to the room, and found a 35-year-old woman who admitted that she had sex with Xiaojun earlier,” said the police officer, adding that the teenager later confessed that he sought sexual services to reduce his examination stress.
He said even though Xiaojun would have been remanded for 13 days, the police decided to release him to enable him to sit for his examinations.
