Stallone hit by fake death report

LOS ANGELES – Fans of Sylvester Stallone went into a social media rumble after a fake and clickbait news post, made to look like a CNN report, surfaced on Twitter and Facebook.

The article carried doctored photos of him being wheeled out of his posh home in Los Angeles, California.

However, the “news” was actually generated by a site called Entertainment News Update, which had previously produced false death reports of Miley Cyrus and Angelina Jolie.

The 70-year-old Rambo actor laughed off rumours of his “death” on social media.

On Saturday, the highly gossiped date of his “death,” he posted a snap of himself posing with Russian boxer Sergey “Krusher” Kovzalev.

In another Instagram post, he made funny faces with his daughter Sophia, 20, during a dinner date.

According to Hollywood Life, Stallone’s holiday vacation had been interrupted by the mischievous death hoax.

“Sly’s Labor Day was ruined by this silly death hoax,” an insider told the news site.

“He’s maintaining a good sense of humour about it, but it has been impossible for him to relax with family ’cause his phone is ringing off the hook.

“He knows everyone in Hollywood and celebrity friends and family are all calling to make sure he is okay.”
