SINGAPORE – A 40-year-old Ang Mo Kio resident got a huge shock when she saw a half-naked man outside the window of her 12th-storey flat at midnight on Wednesday (June 29).

According to Shin Min Daily News, the “spider man” was climbing from the 12th-storey to a unit on the 10th floor at Block 225 when the woman saw him.

She told the Chinese paper that she had been reading the papers in her living room when she heard strange noises coming from the kitchen.

When she went to take a look, she was shocked to see a man outside the window.

She said he was holding onto the window frame and squatting on the bamboo poles. Seeing this, she woke her 50-year-old husband, who then asked the man what he was doing.

According to the couple, the man said “sorry, sorry,” before continuing to climb downwards.

Shortly after, he entered a unit on the 10th floor.

The couple then called the police as they were worried that he could have been a burglar.

The Chinese paper also reported that when police officers arrived to check on the 10th floor unit, they found contraband cigarettes inside.

A 72-year-old man identified as the owner of the 10th floor unit told Shin Min that he had rented the flat out to two Vietnamese students last month. He said that he was startled when he opened the door to the flat for police officers. There was no one in the flat at the time, but contraband cigarettes were found in the master bedroom, he said.
