SINGAPORE – Phone scammers have been targeting customers of Singapore Power Services, claiming that their utilities accounts are in arrears or that their electricity meters need to be changed.

They are then asked to make payment to a designated bank account.

SP Services put up a notice warning customers to be wary of such calls.

It stated: “These calls are not from SP Services. Recipients should ignore such requests.”

Those who receive such calls should contact SP Services at 1800 222 2333 or email spservices@singaporepower.com.sg
