A Singapore woman beat 10 other contestants to win an international competition for chubby beauties.
The woman took the crown at Miss Top of the World Plus Size, held in Latvia on Saturday (June 9). The contest’s Facebook page named her as “Tan Si Mi”.
The winner was seen in a white silver-sequinned dress-gown with a flowing translucent bottom.
Miss Tan reportedly told Shin Min Daily News, that when she was 21 years old, she tried various means to slim down but failed. Her weight had caused her to have a poor self image then.
She gradually realised that inner confidence and attitude were more important than looking slim.
With the latest win, Tan is the envy of other plus-size women and those dreaming of a beauty crown.
