SINGAPORE – The licence of travel agent S Travel Pte Ltd has been revoked, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced in a press statement on Friday.
The company put up a notice stating that it had closed for business since March 31, STB said.
The authority said that affected consumers should contact S Travel Pte Ltd regarding the status of their booking or refund.
If the company becomes uncontactable or if it fails to provide relevant refunds, consumers with travel insurance should approach their insurance providers for assistance.
Consumers who are not covered by travel insurance can approach the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) or the Small Claims Tribunal (SCT).
Marketed as a travel agency focused on providing trips to South Korea, S Travel’s office was located at the Fuji Xerox Tower on Anson Road.
STB said in the statement that it is looking into the matter and may consider taking further actions against S Travel Pte Ltd and its directors, if necessary.
