US singer Selena Gomez, who was in town on Wednesday night for her concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium as part of her Revival Tour, was spotted clubbing at new local nightspot Baliza after her gig.
The 24-year-old was with her friends, who reportedly ordered bottles of vodka and Dom Perignon champagne.
According to Baliza’s marketing manager, Mr Sandeep S, the club was not informed beforehand that Gomez would be visiting.
He told The New Paper: “Initially, our door staff did not recognise them… they automatically got in line in the general admission queue.
“After several minutes, someone from their group approached us and requested a VIP sofa in our Hip Hop Room. Even then, they did not identify themselves or mention that Selena was part of the group.
“It was only when they made their way into the premises, one of our VIP servers noticed Selena was there.”
Student Jasmine M, 20, was “really, really starstruck” when she saw Gomez at Baliza at Raffles Boulevard.
She told TNP: “I saw her right after I walked into the club at about 11.30pm and she stayed till about 2am…
“We weren’t allowed to take pictures. Security would shine their flashlights whenever they saw a phone appear so she was left alone.
“We were disappointed but obviously if one person took a picture with her, the entire club would want to and it would’ve turned into a mini meet-and-greet.”
Gomez also posted a video on Snapchat that night showing herself dancing at Baliza.
