Special guests, including local actress Rebecca Lim, as well as 2,000 customers celebrated the opening of South-east Asia’s flagship Uniqlo Singapore store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a Japanese drum performance.
Other guests gracing the opening were Mr Tadashi Yanai, chairman, president, and CEO of Fast Retailing, and Mr Cheng Wai Keung, chairman and managing director of Wing Tai Holdings.
The pre-opening party on Sep 1 saw performances by local DJ KoFlow and Poland-based Singaporean beat-boxer Dharni.
If you make it to the store this weekend, the first 500 customers can look forward to a complimentary welcome gift bag worth $50 that consists of a limited edition tote bag designed by local art collective Tell Your Children, a UNIQLO aluminium sports bottle and selected Orchard Central dining vouchers.
