It might seem like just yesterday that Pentagon graced our stage during HallyuPopFest (it happened in May) but they’re back again and this time, our boys are hotter than ever.

Having travelled the globe in their first world tour PRISM, the group is set to wrap their seven-month-long show in Singapore on Nov 2.

Unfortunately, fans will only be able to catch eight boys at the upcoming concert. The group used to have 10 members, but Yanan has been placed on hiatus due to poor health, while E’Dawn has since left the agency after his dating scandal broke out the year before.

They may have only been away for a short five months, but the boys are excited to show a more mature side of themselves to their fans who are known as Universe.

Wooseok shared with AsiaOne: “We will show you how much we’ve matured and improved!”

Joanne Peh is baring it all in her new drama.

The 36-year-old actress opened up about going nude for a bed scene in the Toggle series Last Madame in a revealing Instagram post today (Sept 26).

For Joanne, who plays the boss of a brothel in the show, her raunchiest role to date, it was not an easy decision.

Although no nudity was explicitly shown on-screen, the scene in the 12-part series still gets pretty hot and heavy.

For Joanne, who has not had so much as a kiss scene since her marriage to actor Qi Yuwu in 2014, one of her concerns was her nerves over “how it would look on-screen”, but she eventually took the plunge for the sake of the show.

SINGAPORE – Two British tourists in Singapore to visit their children helped to rescue an elderly woman from Bukit Batok Town Park lake on Tuesday (Sept 24).

The 72-year-old woman was taken conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital after being rescued from the lake using a life buoy and ladder, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said.

Photographer Lesley Brewin, 65, and her husband were by the lake – also known as Little Guilin – when they saw a small stool beside a low wall there.

Sensing something amiss, the couple, who are from Britain, went to investigate and saw beyond the wall that a woman appeared to be barely afloat in the lake, Mrs Brewin told Chinese-language newspaper Shin Min Daily News.

She tried to look for passers-by for help, while her husband sought to find ways to bring the woman back to shore.

As she was also a diving instructor, Mrs Brewin eventually decided to jump into the lake to rescue the woman. She kept the woman afloat and provided mouth-to-mouth resuscitation before SCDF officers arrived.

SINGAPORE – Thundery showers are forecast over Singapore and parts of Sumatra for the next few days, bringing some improvement to the haze situation in the region, the National Environment Agency (NEA) said on Wednesday evening (Sept 25).

But the agency said that Singapore may still experience occasional hazy conditions if winds blow smoke haze from Sumatra towards Singapore.

Although recent showers have brought some respite from the haze, hot spot activities in Sumatra can be expected to continue.

A total of 115 hot spots were detected on Wednesday, and hot spot activities were still observed in central and southern Sumatra.

For the next 24 hours, the NEA said the one-hour PM2.5 concentration readings are expected to be in the normal range and the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) readings are forecast to be in the good and moderate range.

The prevailing winds are forecast to be light and variable in direction, and may occasionally blow from the south-east or south.

On Wednesday, widespread thundery showers over Singapore in the late morning and afternoon improved the air quality in Singapore.
