COE for Cat A, Cat B cars end higher on first week of May
The certificate of entitlement (COE) bidding exercise ended mixed on Thursday (May 5).
The COE for Category A rose from $47,300 to $47,889, while the Cat B premium increased by $1,408 to $51,010.
Cat A cars are those that are up to 1,600cc and 130bhp, while Cat B consists of cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp.
The premium for commercial vehicles in Cat C slid to $42,302 from $43,002, while motorcycle COE dropped by $199 to $6,302.
COE for Cat E – the open category – ended at $49,000, slightly lower than $49,501 previously.
