The Amazing Race Asia returns to screens after 6 years, with Allan Wu as host
SINGAPORE – After a six-year hiatus, The Amazing Race Asia is back for its 5th season, with a familiar face to host the adventure reality series on AXN – Allan Wu.
10 teams from around Asia will prove their mettle in a global quest where time is of the essence.
“We’re seeking dynamic teams who embody the AXN attitude that is smart, tenacious, determined and strong,” Virginia Lim, Vice President and Head of Content and Marketing said.
“A passion for social media is also a key requirement as contestants will be engaging with AXN’s viewers and sharing their heart-pumping experiences throughout the race.”
Each team must compete in a series of physical, mental – and even emotional -challenges at each new destination, AXN said in a statement today (May 30).
Teams who fall the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning The Amazing Race Asia and the USD$100,000 (S$138,120) cash prize.
Participants can visit www.axn-asia.com/TARA, fill out the application details and send AXN a link to their audition video of up to three minutes’ in duration.
