Batch of Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream recalled after plastic film found in tub
SINGAPORE – A batch of Ben & Jerry’s Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream is being recalled, after the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) received feedback about a piece of plastic film found in one of the tubs consumed by a member of a public.
AVA has launched investigations into the claims after it received public feedback on July 5.
The importer is also voluntarily recalling the affected batch – NOV052017 5095 3 18:19 84150073 – as a precautionary measure.
Consumers who bought the same product can check the batch number of their ice cream at the bottom of the tub.
AVA has advised consumers who have purchased the implicated product against consuming it.
