Singapore Idol alumnus Olinda Cho emerged as champion of the China Super Vocal Singapore audition final last night, bringing the house down with her rendition of Taiwanese rocker Wu Bai’s Lang Ren Qing Ge (Wanderer’s Love Song).
She will be flying to China in late July with the two runners-up, former Campus Superstar champion Ng Chee Yang (first runner-up) and Elizabeth Low (second runner-up), to represent Singapore in the reality talent show.
The event was held at The Coliseum at Hard Rock Hotel in Sentosa, where 12 finalists sang their hearts out in front of about 2,000 fans.
More than 1,700 had auditioned for the Singapore final.
China Super Vocal, which was formerly called The Voice of China, started in China in 2012 and is one of the most popular music reality programmes there.
