NDP organisers warn against Pokemon-hunting around Sports Hub

SINGAPORE – Organisers of this evening’s National Day Parade (NDP) at the National Stadium have warned non-ticket holders against hunting for Pokemon around the venue.

Pokemon Go players including Power 98 DJ Mister Young have tweeted that the Sports Hub is a designated gym – a big landmark where players who are level five or above can use their creatures to battle other players.

NDP organisers said in a Facebook post last night (Aug 9) that they have not endorsed events that promote Pokemon-hunting around the Sports Hub today (Aug 9).

They added: “To ensure the highest standards of safety and security for all ticketed spectators, strict access controls within the vicinity of the Sports Hub will be in place. Only ticket holders will be able to enter areas near the Sports Hub.”
