Mandopop star Karen Mok is living proof that age is no barrier to exuding sexiness.
The Hong Kong singer-actress might be 45, but at her solo concert in Singapore on Saturday night, she showed that hitting middle age hasn’t taken away her saucy, sultry side one bit.
Performing to a 5,000-strong crowd at The Star Theatre, Mok sent temperatures rising by performing a raunchy dance sequence which screamed sensuality from start to finish.
During her loungey, jazzed-up rendition of Chris Isaak’s classic Wicked Game, Mok, flaunting her long slender legs in a slinky floral dress, allowed her tanned beefcake male dancer to run his fingers all over her arms, shoulders and back.
On stage, Mok reprimanded herself for her long absence from the local concert scene.
Her last solo concert in Singapore was in January 2001 at the Sinagpore Indoor Stadium – 15 years ago.
“I’m too much! I made all of you wait so long,” she exclaimed. “How should I be punished? I shall sing for you.”
The flamboyant pop goddess also showed off her deft electric guzheng (Chinese zither) playing skills on rock track Reason To Be Strong.
