SINGAPORE – In a hurry for more curry? Rejoice!
You can now buy McDonald’s Curry Sauce in a take-home bottled edition for $4.50 with any extra value meal.
The condiment will be available from July 21, and is limited to 4 bottles of Curry Sauce in a single receipt, McDonald’s said in a statement today.
It will be available for a limited time, and after breakfast hours in all restaurants (except NTU, NUS, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic) and via McDelivery, while stocks last.
In Feb 2015, a ‘crisis’ erupted when McDonald’s curry sauce was in short supply due to a congestion at the US West Coast ports which affected the shipping of cargo.
The dip in supply caused a ripple among aficionados, with many taking to social media to air their grievances.
Fortunately, the curry sauce crisis was averted when supplies of the dip resumed in June 2015, nearly four months after it was unavailable.
A similar crisis also happened in 2011 due to “unforeseen supply issues”.
McDonald’s curry sauce is only available in Singapore, and has been on the menu for nearly 30 years.
