PETALING JAYA – People in Kelantan and Terengganu were really interested in former Japanese adult film actress Maria Ozawa during the past week, according to Google Trends data.
Searches for Maria Ozawa on Google spiked suddenly after news of her arrival in Malaysia surfaced on Sunday.
According to Google Trends, Kelantan had the highest number of searches for the Canadian-Japanese actress, followed by Terengganu, Labuan, Perlis and Pahang.
In contrast, Penang, Selangor and Putrajaya were the least interested in Ozawa with the least number of searches.
Related queries include: “Maria Ozawa datang Malaysia” (Maria Ozawa arrives in Malaysia), “Siapakah Maria Ozawa” (Who is Maria Ozawa), “Maria Ozawa berasal dari mana” (Where does Maria Ozawa originate from).
Several of her films were also Googled, such as Tokyo Species, Nilalang, Erotibot and Irokoishi.
The last time her name was most searched topic happaned back in October 2009 when she was banned from Indonesia.
Ozawa visited Kuala Lumpur with boyfriend Filipino actor and chef Jose Sarasola on Saturday and left on Wednesday.
During her stay in Kuala Lumpur, she visited a night market, Bukit Bintang and several bars around the city.
Ozawa began her career in adult films in 2005 under the pseudonym “Miyabi” gaining fans across Asia.
Aside from adult films, Ozawa has acted in mainstream movies such as Taiwanese horror film Invitation Only, an Indonesian comedy Menculik Miyabi and horror film Hantu Tanah Kusir, as well as a Filipino flick titled Nilalang.
