A man was arrested Sunday (12 February) trying to smuggle 20 bars of gold from Singapore to Hyderabad, including 12 rectums.
The 36-year-old hides eight other bars of gold in his check-box, the Times of India reported.
After the lights were noticed by customs officers, the suspects were taken to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
Then he passed a metal detector, which led to the discovery of his rectum bullion.
According to the new Indian Express, 20 gold bars, each 100g, worth a total of 5.91 million rupees (126,000 Singapore dollars).
Suspects from Tamil Nadu have been detained by airport officials.
