Getting rejected is sometimes par for the course in the treacherous world of dating. But one man in Thailand took his disappointment to the extreme, by venting his anger on the woman herself.
The incident occurred at a porridge shop in Koh Samui, according to Thai news media outlets.
According to reports, the man had walked up to the women sitting at the next table, and asked one of them for her number.
After the woman rejects him, an argument ensues. First, the man kicks the table, causing a bowl of porridge to topple and spill onto the woman’s lap.
After an exchange of words, she angrily throws her drink at him.
As he approaches the woman in a physically threatening manner, her female companion attempts to shield her from the man and mitigate the situation, to little success.
The argument soon descends into a physical fight, with the pair grabbing items off the table and hurling them at each other.
But what happens next is truly shocking – the man punches the woman across the face, and when her friend attempts to intervene, he grabs her neck with both hands, pushing her backwards.
It doesn’t end there. The pair continue hurling items at each other, before the man lands another punch at the first woman.
The women made a police report and the man, who works in a mall, was arrested.
According to reports, the woman told police that he had also threatened that he is a policeman’s son, which turned out to be untrue.
Charges were dropped after the man offered the woman 10,000 baht ($400) in compensation, said reports.
