Malaysian flick wins at Los Angeles Film Awards

Malaysian film Temuan Takdir received two awards at the Los Angeles Film Awards in December. It won the Best New Director for Dhyan Vimal and Best Original Score by Krishinthen Shanmugam.

The Los Angeles Film Awards is a monthly film competition for filmmakers worldwide.

Released last August, Temuan Takdir – starring Datuk Zahim Albakri, Vanidah Imran, Azura Zainal, Ery Zukhairi, Amai Kamarudin and Thanuja Ananthan – is an action drama which revolves around love, family and the sacrifice of two sibling policemen who investigate a robbery case.

The film was also recently screened at Idyllwild Film Festival in California.
