JAPANESE artiste Gackt, who has made Malaysia his home for the past five years, said he fell in love with Kuala Lumpur at first sight.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the Japanese media said the 43-year-old singer and actor described the capital as “clean and close to nature”.
Gackt moved to Kuala Lumpur because the chilly weather back home aggravated his back injury. The report said his mansion was located in a luxury residential area.
However, his new home caused many Japanese to wonder if Gackt moved to Malaysia to evade tax because of his previous scandal.
The report added that Gackt opened a South-East Asia investment and real estate company in Malaysia with some friends.
When reporters visited his company, a female staff member said Gackt was rarely there.
