SINGAPORE – A large fire broke out on Jurong Island on Wednesday afternoon (April 20).
In a Facebook post, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they received a call regarding a fire from an oil tank at Tembusu Road on Jurong Island at about 3pm.
They added that SCDF resources were at the scene.
The oil storage tank affected is about 40 metres in diameter, Channel NewsAsia reported.
A number of netizens also posted photos and videos of the incident, which showed the fire and a column of thick, black smoke in the air.
