A man in China has an incredulous way of keeping his hands free during a car ride, not to drive his vehicle, but to play with his mobile phone.
Since his hands are preoccupied with his phone, how then did he drive his car?
He used his foot.
Police in Puning, a city in China’s Guangdong province, said they are investigating the case after the video of the man driving with his barefoot went viral on Weibo.
In the video, the topless man could be seen reclining in the driver’s seat while controlling the vehicle with his left foot on the steering wheel.
He had his phone in his hand and appeared to be surfing on his device.
He reportedly managed to turn corners and change lanes, all while being on his phone.
At some point in the video, he even sounded the horn a few times with his foot.
According to Xinhua, the man was driving at around 80kmh.
A police officer surnamed Xiao told CCTV News: ‘The incident supposedly happened in Puning city in Guangdong province. The man in the video has violated the traffic laws and the case is being investigated.’
Reactions online have mostly condemned his actions with one netizen saying, “He will regret it once he causes a car accident.”
Another online user said: ‘I hope he does no harm to others.’
