SINGAPORE – A glass panel from a swimming pool of a condominium crashed to the ground from the fifth floor on Friday (July 8) afternoon.
The incident occurred at Cradels @ Whampoa condominium, off Balestier Road, The Straits Times reported.
Ms Shuli Sudderudin, 31, who lives in the condominium beside Cradels@Whampoa, said she heard a loud crash when she was at home.
Ms Shuli told The Straits Times that when she walked past the site 30 minutes later, she looked up to see water pouring from the swimming pool at Cradels@Whampoa , and witnessed a glass panel crashing to the ground.
Describing the scene as “dramatic”, she said people were rushing out and yelling for her to move away.
Ms Shuli took a photo which showed a glass panel dangling in mid air, while a video on the news site captures it crashing to the ground.
A number of panels around the pool appeared to be missing.
According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force, they were alerted to the incident at 2.32pm and no injuries were reported.
