The HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is in town and there’s plenty of partying to be done for it, as recommended by our Party Girl, of course!
From Friday, Clarke Quay is having a three-day music festival featuring its resident bands and other local music acts. So head down from 7pm and if you flash your World Rugby Sevens Series ticket, you’ll enjoy some discounts.
Places like McGettigan’s are offering discounts on drinks and encourage you to fancy dress up on Saturday with prizes to be won.
And I hear there’s free buses from the National Stadium where the World Series is at to Clarke Quay.
If you have a ticket for Saturday’s rugby matches, then you can dance to DJ Pete Tong’s music when the games end that night.
Then head back to Clarke Quay again or go to Mogambo’s in Boat Quay where your ticket stub will get you a free shot.
Or, Friday also sees the second anniversary of SoKo at kyo. SoKo is a collective of DJs with a huge passion for the sounds of grage, bass, and house music so it’ll be a night of hard boogie-ing.
Or for something totally different, head out on Sunday for a concert by Weekend Nachos who are a hardcore metal band from the States.
It will be a full day-out from 2.30pm at the Aliwal Arts Centre with other regional and local bands in the line-up too.
If you don’t know, now you know.
To catch the Party Girl, listen to her on OneFM‘s #1 Breakfast Show with Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman on Thursday mornings.
