If you missed the chance to explore hipster market Artbox or were turned off by reports of huge crowds, we’re here to remind you of another festival around the corner where you can get a taste of Thailand.
Amid the hoopla of Artbox, a creative flea market originating from Bangkok, many may have forgotten about the annual Thai festival held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Orchard Road.
And based on photos we’ve seen on social media from last year’s event, expect lots of street food and Thai produce that are guaranteed to be the real deal.
This year’s event will be held from May 4 to 7, and is free to the public.
According to the event’s Facebook page, there’ll also be cultural performances like Muay Thai, and a cooking demonstration.
Of course, for an all-year-round, close to authentic Thai experience minus the festive atmosphere, Singaporeans can always head to Golden Mile Complex.
Thai Festival 2017 will be held from 10am to 9pm May 4 to 7. The Royal Thai Embassy is located at 370 Orchard Rd (Nearest MRT: Orchard)
