Besides the usual vampire and witch costumes, Halloween has always been about dressing up as the latest movie superhero or villain. This year, crazy love reigns.
Suicide Squad’s anti-hero Harley Quinn and The Joker, her “Puddin'”, have taken over Halloween as the perfect couple get-up.
Instagram was flooded with #jokerandharleyquinn Halloween photos, showing a number of couples in The Joker’s signature green hairstyle and Harley’s “Daddy’s Lil’ Monster” crop top.
While The Joker is known to be an abusive boyfriend who’s not quite husband material, the couple has been painted in the movie and romanticised by fans as #RelationshipGoals. Because really, who doesn’t like to be with someone who’s as crazy as yourself?
The pair has quickly become a breakout hit from the DC Comic movie that was released this year and it has been confirmed that there will be a spin-off movie of Harley Quinn, played by Australian actress Margot Robbie.
Word has it that Suicide Squad 2 will most likely hit the screens in a few years, but it seems like the Joker-Harley costumes will still be making an appearance for a long time to come.
