SINGAPORE – A female pedestrian was killed in an accident along Commonwealth Avenue West on Sunday (Oct 23) morning.
Eyewitnesses said the accident, which involved a taxi, occurred near Clementi Mall.
The police said a 55-year-old male taxi driver was arrested for causing death by negligent act.
It was alerted to the accident at 6.23am. The 69-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, a spokesman added.
A video posted by Facebook user Mahmodul Hasan showed several police officers and a blue tent at the scene.
A white Mercedes cab was also seen in the video.
Police investigations are ongoing.
