SINGAPORE: A driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after his car crashed into several lampposts on the pavement along Bras Basah Road on Tuesday morning (Nov 22).
The 31-year-old was taken to Singapore General Hospital after the accident, which happened at around 6am, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said. Channel NewsAsia understands that he suffered injuries on his left hand.
Photos on social media showed several lampposts toppled over near the car. The white Audi’s front bumper had also fallen off and a lone wheel was seen at the side of the road.

The police said they are investigating the accident.
