DBS' Singapore country head reappointed Land Authority chairman

SINGAPORE – The board chairman of the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has been reappointed to a second two-year term, the Ministry of Law announced in a statement on Monday (July 4).

Mr Lim Sim Seng, who is also the group expective and Singapore country head of DBS Bank, will begin his new term as chairman on Aug 1.

He has been involved with SLA since 2011, and was first appointed chairman of the board in 2014.

Three new members have also been appointed to the board, the Law Ministry said.

They are Mr Yeoh Oon Jin, executive chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore; Ms Lock Yin Mei, a partner at Allen & Overy LLP; and Mr Ho Chee Pong, the director-general of Singapore Customs.

The trio will also begin their two-year terms on Aug 1.

One member, Mr Ang Cheng Hock, has been reappointed for another two-year term. Mr Ang is senior counsel and partner at Allen & Gledhill LLP.

Meanwhile, Mr Wong Hong Kuan, the director of the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau, will step down from the board when his current term of office ends on Jul 31.
