According to the documentary, the process includes the subjects reviewing the oath they took when they joined the Communist Party of China.
Wu is asked to read the oath he took when he joined the CPC. The subjects are also requested to reflect on their wrongdoings as they relearn the Party’s constitution and regulations.
Wu confesses in the documentary that he feels guilty for letting down the Party. “I made pleasure my main goal and changed the direction of my life,” Wu said. He said the changes in values made him self-centred instead of making the Party’s career the top priority.
