SINGAPORE – The importer of Pakary Haw Ball, a China-made sweet, has voluntarily recalled the product after a small plastic chip was found in a bottle.
In a statement, the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) said that it received a report of the plastic chip from a member of the public after it was found in a 80g bottle. It said that it is working with the importer to invesitgate the matter.
The batch that is being recalled has an expiration date of September 30, 2017. AVA is advising people who own the affected product not consume it.
