Miss Linde is not looking for love when she registers for the volunteer Servathon, a community service marathon back in 2015.

Now Mr. Ong, 26, works in the IT manufacturing sector, first noticing Miss Lin, when some volunteers go out for dinner after the all-day event.
At dinner, he invited her to the next volunteer – to celebrate Christmas with children from low-income families.
Now 23 – year – old Miss Lin knew nothing about the day ‘s interest. She said: “This is a very long day, I entertain me and my friends, I am tired.
“I asked a few friends if they wanted to volunteer because 2015 was 21 years old and I wanted to do a different year.
Another friend suggested to attend the 2015 Servathon, organized by the nonprofit CityCare and Caretalyst Club jointly organized by higher education institutions.
Volunteers serve different beneficiaries on a daily basis.
Mr. Ong asked Miss Lim for lunch, and they knew each other better before they started their relationship last year.
Since then, the couple voluntarily participate in the 2016 project happy foot slippers events and other activities for Singapore and Cambodia children to raise footwear and necessities.
Weng believes that more people should take the time to contribute to the community.
“I think people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care,” he said.
