SINGAPORE – Candidates running in the Bukit Batok by-election will be able to apply to hold rallies at Bukit Gombak Stadium as well as a designated field along Bukit Batok Industrial Park A.
Rallies may be held between 7am and 10pm from April 28 to May 5 at these sites.
The list of election meetings scheduled for April 28 will be announced on April 27, after the close of permit applications.
As large crowds are expected at the election meetings, members of public are advised to take public transport.
Motorists travelling within the vicinity of the election rallies should be prepared for traffic diversions or lane closures, police added.
The status of the Speakers’ Corner as an “Unrestricted Area” under the Public Order Act will also be temporarily revoked from April 27 to May 7.
