Singapore-based organization Evolve MMA recently appointed a new head coach in MMA –  longtime MMA veteran Brian “Bad Boy” Ebersole (51-18-1, 1 NC). The company made the announcement via their Facebook page.

Ebersole, 36, is set to oversee training for the Evolve Fight Team, which consists of mixed martial artists competing in some of the world’s elite organizations such as ONE Championship and the UFC, among others. He joins an award-winning instructor team featuring over 50 world champions spanning various martial arts disciplines including Muay Thai, boxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

A former UFC welterweight who has travelled all over the world, Ebersole has almost 70 bouts against top competition under his belt. Ebersole was previously head coach of the Thailand-based Tiger Muay Thai, and head wrestling coach at his alma mater Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School. He hung up his gloves in 2015 after an illustrious career.

He brings his vast knowledge of mixed martial arts to a fight team which consists of well-known figures such as former UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos, ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion Roger Gracie, ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben Askren, and former ONE Lightweight World Champion Shinya Aoki, among others.

Evolve MMA’s previous head coach Heath Sims has taken over as the head of the team’s wrestling program.

“We are delighted to have a truly world-class MMA veteran such as Brian [Ebersole] to lead the EVOLVE Fight Team, Asia’s winningest fight team,” said Wesley De Souza, General Manager of Evolve.

Ebersole’s new role as head coach will also see him responsible for recruiting new athletes to join the growing Evolve Fight Team roster.

“Evolve MMA has offered me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, as there truly is no other role in MMA quite like this, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to coach, full-time,” said Ebersole, in a Facebook post. “Being able to share what I’ve come to know, and lead a group of young athletes will be an awesome daily experience, but I’m also fortunate to be able to continue my own studies, as I’ll be surrounded by championship-level athletes and coaches each day.”

Besides top-level instruction in martial arts, Evolve also offers various services, including the rapidly popular martial arts training vacation, where clients would travel to Asia from various parts of the world to train while enjoying the sights and sounds of Singapore.
