It seems Brad Pitt is a hero on screen – and off.

Earlier this week, on the set of his new film Allied, which he is currently filming in Gran Canaria, in Spain’s Canary Islands, mobs of excited fans had gathered to watch the Hollywood actor.

Pitt walked up and down the set, which was fenced off, waving to hordes of fans who had turned up to catch a glimpse of their idol.

At one point, he notices a young girl in distress, as she is being pushed by the crowd.

He rushes over to her, and is seen on video comforting her and speaking to her.

A staff member on set then helps Pitt to lift the girl out of the crowd, plucking her to safety. The visibly distressed girl is then attended to by medical personnel on set.

The 52-year-old actor leaves her in their care, before carrying on with greeting his fans.

Pitt’s upcoming movie Allied, is set during World War II and also stars French actress Marion Cotillard. They reportedly play spies who fall in love with each other.
