Stomp contributor Masrom alerted the citizen journalism website about a death tent spotted near 39A Bendemeer Road this morning (Nov 21).

Photos taken by Masrom show a death tent with police officers cordoning off the surrounding area from the public.

According to The Straits Times, the body of a 60-year-old woman was found and retrieved from the Kallang River.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said it was alerted to the incident at 7.11am, and dispatched a fire engine and an ambulance to the scene.
