NEW YORK – Everybody, rock your body – Backstreet Boys, the iconic boy band of the 1990s, are back again.

A new album has been confirmed by Nick Carter, who wrote on Instagram about the band working on a new single for popular country duo Florida Georgia Line’s album.

He then added: “Also working on the new backstreet album as well. Get ready!!!”

Fellow member Brian Littrell teased that their single with Florida – said to have a country spin – will be out in late August.

Their own full-length album could also be released around that time although it was not widely confirmed.

It would be the first new music they have released in three years when Kevin Richardson rejoined the group – after departing years ago – for an independently-made record, In A World Like This.

Besides Carter, the other members are A. J. McLean, Howie D. and Littrell.

The band have been prolific this year, having appeared on TV shows like Lip Sync Battle and performing at the Miss USA Pageant.

Last year, they also released their first documentary movie, Backstreet Boys: Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of.

The grown-up boy group also recently announced their Las Vegas residency.

In addition, they are slated to perform on ABC’s upcoming series Greatest Hits, an all-star music variety show.

Backstreet Boys rose to global fame with their self-titled 1996 debut album. Seven more albums followed.

They have sold more than 130 million records, making them the most successful boyband in music history.
