At least two passengers and four crew members of a Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight from Los Angeles were slightly injured on Tuesday after the plane experienced turbulence just as it was about to land in Manila, Radyo Inquirer reported.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said PAL flight PR1103 ran into turbulence at 6:12 a.m.

Injured passengers were identified as 42-year-old US citizen Anika Kemba, who complained of headache; and Roel Orocay, 43, who complained of leg pain.

Injured crew members were Marc Castro, who bumped his head into the ceiling of the aircraft; Joan Ratunil, 29, who had to wear a neck brace and undergo spinal CT scan; Raquel Cruz, 25, who complained of arm pain and had to undergo X-ray; and Katrina Angeles, 26, whose right arm was hurt after bumping into the aircraft’s wall.

Villaluna said appropriate medical treatments were given to the six injured when the aircraft landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 6:40 a.m.
