Our Party Girl recommends three cool events to check out this weekend. She’ll be heading to one of them (the second one here) so do go over to say hello.
For those into gaming, start the weekend off at Game Start 2016 from Friday till Sunday at Suntec Convention Centre.
You can indulge in all sorts of game showcases and previews, cosplay, panel discussions on game development and creation, live artists drawing sessions, music, and competitions.
Tickets are $12 per day or $30 for the whole weekend, or free if you dress up in recognisable cosplay characters.
For those into live music, Montreux Jazz Cafe on Claymore Road is having British soul singer Omar perform on Friday evening. It is also their official opening.
Get ready to be swooned by Omar’s seductive vocals as well as by specials guests Bastian Baker, a Swiss folk singer, and Jerry Leonide, a jazz musician from Mauritius.
Tickets are $138.
And on Saturday, The Fever, who only give you the best in hip hop and RnB, is celebrating its fourth anniversary at Blu Jazz Cafe.
It’s $10 on the door with lots of bottle and drink promotions going on all night.
The last time I happened to stumble upon this night, which was last month, it was just too banging. So, I highly recommend partying here.
If you don’t know, now you know.
To catch the Party Girl, listen to her on OneFM‘s #1 Breakfast Show with Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman on Thursday mornings.
