This weekend is all about festivals. Our Party Girl recommends three to get involved with.
First up is the Singapore River Festival.
The headline act is a tightrope performance over the Singapore River. There will also be a Riverfront Carnival, The Zouk Run which starts and ends at Zouk, plenty more parties and performances, fitness bootcamps and tons of activities for the kids.
One event, that is part of the festival, to check out over Friday till Sunday is at F.Club in Clarke Quay. They will be hosting the Silent Disco Asia party.
And over at Circular Road on Saturday from 3pm, a street carnival is on that’s also part of the Singapore River Festival.
There will be live performances, art installations, mascots and puppet specialists to look forward to.
For more information on what’s on, check www.srf.sg.
Another cool (actually maybe hot) event to take part in is FitXercise Singapore 2016 held at Suntec City.
You can join in all sorts of dance and exercise workouts such as Zumba, Piloxing, and Bollywood.
To get the details on what’s on, check out their Facebook page or website.
And for those into reading, writing, authors, musicians, plays, and the wonderful world of literature, indulge in 10 days of the Singapore Writers Festival from Friday till next Sunday.
This year’s theme is Sayang, the Malay word for love.
There are too many talks, workshops, performances, readings and discussions featuring some big name authors and personalities so check out the programme schedule for both free and ticketed events at www.singaporewritersfestival.com.
If you don’t know, now you know.
