There doesn’t seem to be a week that goes by without some news revolving the massive universe of Star Wars.
Last week director Ron Howard revealed the title of the stand-alone Han Solo movie – Solo: A Star Wars Story. This film is scheduled for May 25, 2018. And the week before that, we saw the trailer as well as poster for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Since then fans have been theorising that Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) could be the villain in the second movie of the new Star Wars trilogy (Part Eight). If this is true, then it’s going to be a massive disturbance in the Force as well with Star Wars fans.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hamill said Luke is regretful having taught his nephew, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), the way of the Force only to realise Kylo has turned to the dark side.
Hamill added: “I think (Luke) probably looks out on the horizon and wishes that he could be more effective, could be what Obi-Wan wanted him to be. But life is imperfect and without conflict there is no drama. Believe me, you’re going to see a lot of conflict in The Last Jedi. That is for sure.”
The Last Jedi is directed by Rian Johnson (Looper) and co-stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Domnhall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie and the late Carrie Fisher.
